Ohtani has been the centerpiece of the Dodgers' success this season.
Dodgers fans experienced a rollercoaster of emotions on Saturday. In Game 2 of the MLB World Series, the Dodgers secured a 4-2 win over the Yankees, but the celebration was muted due to a concerning injury to star player Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani landed awkwardly on his left wrist while attempting to steal second base in the bottom of the seventh inning. The impact was immediate, and he appeared to be in pain as a trainer assisted him off the field.
While the Dodgers fans are worried about Ohtani’s availability for the remainder of the series, team manager Dave Roberts gave an optimistic update.

After the game, Roberts revealed that Ohtani suffered a subluxation of his left shoulder and will undergo further testing tomorrow, but his strength and range of motion are good.
“We’re encouraged,” Roberts added.
Later today, Dave Roberts gave a major update on Ohtani’s injury. Dodgers’s manager has confirmed to ESPN that his Japonese superstar will be able to play in Game 3 on Monday against the Yankees.
With a 2-0 lead, Dodgers will now travel to New York for Game 3 on October 28.
