Shedeur Sanders’ Top-5 Legendary moments according to the man himself!

Eric Divakaran

Shedeur Sanders is one of the most hyped and talented prospects in the 2025 NFL draft class. He started his college football career playing for the Jackson State Tigers in 2021 and 2022, before moving on to Colorado and playing for them for the next two seasons in 2023 and 2024. He’s improved his stats every single season and came quite close to winning the Heisman trophy, finishing 8th in the rankings.

Sanders had a decent season in 2023 where he threw for 3230 passing yards, and 27 touchdowns. However, he exploded in 2024 throwing for 4134 passing yards, 37 touchdowns. The trio of Shedeur, his father Deion Sanders (head coach for the Buffaloes), and CB/WR Travis Hunter was deadly but not enough for them to win the college football championship.

Nevertheless, Shedeur Sanders has cemented his status as one of the top QBs in the 2025 NFL draft class and recently, he gave out his top 5 legendary moments of himself. Let’s find out what are they.

Ranking Top-5 Legendary Moments for Shedeur Sanders according to him

  1. Watch Celebration- Shedeur is always iced out with his jewelry everywhere he goes. He drew attention when he showed off his Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15500 watch before facing Nebraska Cornhuskers. He made this move against Billy Kemp IV after he reportedly stood on the Colorado logo. He started a new celebratory trend which was soon used by NBA and NFL stars such as Chet Holmgren and Davante Adams. This is the number one legendary moment for Sanders according to him.

2. Running out of the Tunnel with Lil Wayne- Lil Wayne Walked out Sanders and the entire Colorado Buffaloes team in a game against the Colorado State Rams. The crowd was as hyped as it gets and Shedeur ranks this moment as number two on his top-5 legendary moments list.

3. Performing his song on the mic- If you didn’t know Shedeur also has a song named “Perfect timing,” which he performed for the first time opening up for Lil Wayne. Sanders ranked this moment as 3rd in his legendary moments list.

4. Come back Hail Mary against Baylor- Sanders threw a Hail Mary to LaJohntay Wester in a game against Baylor. The Buffs were down by a 7 points but won the game eventually after Wester caught the hail mary from Sanders and Travis Hunter sealed it with a game-winning forced fumble. This was ranked 4th on his legendary moments list.

5. First College football player to land NIL football deal with Nike. Not much needs to be added here as Sanders was the first football player to land NIL deal with Nike. Just like his father, Deion Sanders, who already had signature cleats with the sporting company. Shedeur ranked this moment as fifth on his legendary moments list.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
