The Seattle Storm will welcome the Golden State Valkyries in their regular season finale for the 2025 WNBA season. It will be their final chance to clinch a playoff spot after they fell to the New York Liberty on Friday. They are one and a half game ahead of the ninth seeded Los Angeles Sparks, and are most likely to make the playoffs. However, the Storm wouldn’t want to blow their chances and secure a victory to book themselves a berth in top eight.
The Golden State Valkyries, on the other hand, have already scripted history by becoming the first expansion team to make the postseason in their debut year. They are in the sixth spot, and face a stern competition with the Indiana Fever to finish there. However, both teams have one regular season game left, and it is a no-brainer that the outcome of these games would decide their seeds.
The Valkyries head into Tuesday-night clash on the back of a 78-72 loss to the table-toppers Minnesota Lynx. Storm lost two games in a row, falling to the reigning champions in the previous fixture.
With a playoff berth and a seed at stake, both teams are going to give tough competition to each other on Monday. Having said that, let’s see how the WNBA injury reports look like for both Storm and Valkyries ahead of their Tuesday-night fixture.
