Real Madrid Releases A Statement – Find Out If Real Madrid Will Appear in the Copa del Rey Final vs Barcelona?

Real Madrid Have Expressed Strong Disagreement With The Treatment.

Real Madrid in protest of wanting the referees replaced cancelled their press conference and club dinners on Friday. Ahead of the Copa Del Rey Clash, the club is said to be in disagreement with the referee following his emotional conference earlier this week.

In response, Real Madrid displayed hesitation going into the Copa del Rey Finals. Speculations were rising if the Los Blancos would play the El Clasico Finals on April 26. As predicted, Florentino Perez and his club have released a statement giving updates on their stand on the situation.

‘Never Considered Giving Up Playing’ – Real Madrid

Releasing a statement, Real Madrid expressed that despite their demands, the club has never questioned their chance of appearing in the finals. Explaining their point of protest, the 20-time Spanish Cup winners wrote:

“Real Madrid communicates that our team has never considered giving up playing tomorrow’s final”.

“Our club understands that the unfortunate and inappropriate statements of the referees appointed for this match, made 24 hours before the final, cannot stain a sporting event of global importance that hundreds of millions of people will see and also out of respect for all the fans who plan to travel to Seville, and to all those who are already in the Andalusian capital”.

The Los Blancos addressed the values of football and the sequences as they continued:

“Real Madrid understands that the values of football must prevail, despite the hostility and animosity that have been evident today, once again against our club, by these referees designated for the final”.

Real Madrid’s escalation appears to be far-fetched despite their ongoing distrust of Spanish refereeing. The referees’ emotional response humanizes their position, and accusing him could be considered hard to react to. However, the protest may balance Real Madrid’s base but also could backfire if refereeing decisions in the final don’t align with their narrative.

FC Barcelona will face Real Madrid at the El Estadio La Cartuja in Seville, Spain. It will be the first time since 2014 that the two giants of Spain will meet in the final stage of the Copa del Rey.
