The Ravens may not have known it at the time, but their 2018 draft class has made historical strides when it comes to contracts. Baltimore’s 2018 draft class has now generated the most money in future contracts than any other draft class in league history, as posted by NFL insider Adam Schefter on his social media accounts.

The Ravens had a total of 10 picks in the 2018 NFL draft, and the biggest player to come from that year’s draft is none other than 2-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. While Jackson has obviously signed a mega contract after his rookie deal, his fellow draftmates have fared pretty well themselves.

Hayden Hurst – Tight End

Tight end Hayden Hurst was the Ravens’ first pick in the 2018 draft. Selected in the first round with pick number 25, Hurst played his first two seasons in Baltimore, after which he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Currently, he is a free agent, having last played for the Carolina Panthers in 2023.

Lamar Jackson – Quarterback

Quarterback Lamar Jackson needs no introduction. The dual-threat signal caller has gone on to become one of the best players at his position and has already notched up 2 MVP wins. His current contract is worth $260 million for five years.

Orlando Brown Jr. – Offensive Tackle

Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., who was drafted in the third round, spent the first three seasons in Baltimore before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs, where he would win a Super Bowl ring. Since 2023, Brown has been playing for the Bengals and is currently on a four-year, $64 million contract.

Mark Andrews – Tight End

Andrews was the second tight end drafted by the Ravens in 2018 after Hurst. Alongside Jackson, Andrews has remained with the Ravens and is an integral part of the team’s offense. The three-time Pro Bowler is currently playing on a four-year, $56 million extension.

Anthony Averett – Cornerback

Drafted in the fourth round, Averett played out his rookie contract with the Ravens from 2018 till the end of the 2021-22 season. Since then, he has signed multiple one-year deals with the Raiders, 49ers, and Steelers. Currently, Averett is a free agent.

DeShon Elliott – Safety

Similar to Averett, safety Deshon Elliott also completed his first four years in Baltimore, following which he signed one-year deals with the Lions and Dolphins. Currently, he is on a two-year, $6.00 million contract with the Steelers.

Bradley Bozeman – Center

Center Bradley Bozeman signed for a three-year $18 million contract extension with the Panthers after his four-year rookie contract with the Ravens came to an end. However, the Panthers released him after 2 seasons, and Bozeman is now with the Los Angeles Chargers on a two-year, $6.5 million deal.

Zach Sieler – Defensive End

Drafted in the seventh round, Sieler was waived in December 2019, just his second season in the league. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he has become a starter. With 10 sacks each in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Sieler has turned out to be an impressive signing for Miami. On August 3rd, Sieler signed a three-year, $64 million extension with the Dolphins.

Darious Williams – Cornerback

Williams, who was signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2018 NFL draft, signed with the Rams, where he played out his rookie deal. He then signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Jaguars in 2022, but was released after two seasons. His latest contract is a three–year, $22.50 million deal, and he has been back with the Rams since the 2024 season.

Gus Edwards – Running back

Running back Gus Edwards was also an undrafted free agent who ended up playing with the Ravens till the 2024 season. Last year, he signed a two-year deal with the Chargers worth $6.5 million, but was released in March 2025. He is currently a free agent.

Overall, the 2018 draft class of the Baltimore Ravens has done a splendid job over the years. While some of those players are no longer in the league or are free agents for the moment, the others have earned their paydays based on the invaluable contributions they have made to their respective teams.
