PSG vs Aston Villa Head-to-Head Record: Stats, History & Latest Results

Aston Villa will welcome Paris Saint-Germain for the first time in European competition today. They are moving into the Champions League quarter-final second leg tie at the Villa Park with hopes of comfortable progression. The winners from the two legs will either face Real Madrid or Arsenal in the next round.

With a spot in the semi-finals up for grabs both sides enter this clash with momentum. PSG have wrapped up the Ligue 1 title with six games remaining. They also have not lost a single game in the French league. They are determined to hold onto the record and complete the domestic season unbeaten.

PSG bounced back from a group stage wobble in the Champions League to eliminate Brest and Liverpool. This was a credit to standout performances from Gianluigi Donnarumma and their prolific front line. On the other hand, Aston Villa’s return to Europe’s top tier has also been quite impressive.

Under Unai Emery, who is a master of knockout football, Villa have dispatched Bayern Munich and Club Brugge so far. They’ve done it while maintaining a strong domestic form. Villa are currently unbeaten in seven matches across all competitions. With that, they aim to end a 29-year wait for major silverware.
