Paris Saint-Germain have enjoyed a historic night at the Ballon d’Or 2025 in Paris on Monday evening. They’ve showcased how dominant they were in world football last term. The French champions not only celebrated individual brilliance but also collective success. They took home multiple prestigious awards.

They enjoyed a treble-winning campaign capped by a maiden Champions League title last season. Hence, Les Parisien were always expected to be at the forefront of this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony. Yet only few could anticipate just how emphatically they would impose themselves across the top categories.

Men’s Ballon d’Or 2025: Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele, once plagued by injuries and inconsistency, completed a remarkable transformation last term. And he got the fruits of his labour by lifting the 2025 Ballon d’Or. The 28-year-old flourished under Luis Enrique after being shifted from the wing to a central striking role coming to PSG from Barcelona.

His season yielded 21 Ligue 1 goals and decisive Champions League performances. This includes strikes against Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal. Reflecting on his achievement, he told L’Equipe back in June, “Winning a Ballon d’Or when you’re a football player is obviously the Holy Grail individually. It’s something you dream about when you’re little.”

Johan Cruyff Trophy: Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique’s tactical revolution was rewarded with the Johan Cruyff Trophy for best men’s coach. After a shaky group stage in the Champions League last season, PSG grew stronger with every knockout round. They dismantled Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal before a stunning 5-0 win against Inter Milan in the final. Enrique also delivered Ligue 1 and Coupe de France glory. He falling just short of a clean sweep after defeat against Chelsea in the Club World Cup final.

Yashin Trophy: Gianluigi Donnarumma

Gianluigi Donnarumma was honoured with the Yashin Trophy for the second time in his career. The Italian was central to PSG’s European run. He kept five clean sheets in nine Champions League knockout matches. He also earned Man of the Match recognition against Liverpool.

Winning the trophy for the second time, now as a Manchester City player, Donnarumma said, “It’s a great honour to win the Yashin Trophy for a second time in my career. It’s a team game but this is a personal award that all goalkeepers want to get their hands on.”

Men’s Club of the Year Trophy: PSG

Capping off the night, PSG were named Men’s Club of the Year. Their historic treble, alongside a UEFA Super Cup win, confirmed their dominance. They had five players in the Ballon d’Or top 10 and both individual and collective accolades secured. PSG left Paris as the undisputed rulers of the Ballon d’Or 2025 ceremony.
