The Trail Blazers are in the expected terrain
The Trail Blazers are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to rankings. However, they have shown some fights here and there. Still, they have lost five of their last seven games, a pattern that the Trail Blazers fans have been used to by now. On a couple of positive notes, Anfernee Simons has been a terrific offensive player which has brought some wins here and there, meanwhile, Shaedon Sharpe is also emerging as a reliable scorer. Unfortunately, last year’s #3 pick Scoot Henderson has been highly efficient but has shown promise as a playmaker. At any rate, the Trail Blazers will be hoping to land a top-five pick during the stacked 2025 NBA Draft.
The Nets are going nowhere
Shipping Mikal Bridges to the Knicks during the offseason made it clear that the Nets are heading for the lottery. They were competitive till late November with a 9-10 record but after that, they fell apart, losing 16 of their last 19 games. The injuries to Cam Thomas, D’Angelo Russell, Cameron Johnson, and Bojan Bogdanovic have decimated them in every manner. But many Nets fans won’t probably mind it as they will have a better chance of entering the lottery during the 2025 NBA Draft.

Both teams have identical records but the Trail Blazers have performed much better recently. They have much more reliable scorers whereas the Nets are fielding bench players as their starters. However, the Nets did give a strong fight to the Jazz during the last game. But expect the Trail Blazers to breeze past them by at least a 10-point margin.
Expect Anfernee Simons to pour 25+ points and Shaedon Sharpe to drop at least 21 points.
