The Mercury started their WNBA season on fire but recently cooled off with a tough loss. They recently faced a defeat while the Washington Mystics are coming into this game after a gritty loss as well. Both the teams face off at the PHX Arena on Sunday.

Phoenix Mercury were on a winning run until Seattle Storm plotted their revenge on the Alyssa Thomas led side. After defeating the Storm at home in Game 2, the Mercury couldn’t carry that momentum into Seattle.

The Mercury undid all their efforts on Friday night in the fourth quarter. Despite holding on to a thin lead, the Seattle Storm successfully held their fort in the end. Mercury managed to score just nine points in the 4th quarter leading to a 70-77 loss against the Seattle Storm.

Washington Mystics who also had a strong start to their WNBA season were inches away from registering a massive victory against the Last Vegas Aces. Like the Mercury, the Mystics folded in the fourth quarter despite leading for most of the game. Having a double digit lead coming into the 4th, the Washington Mystics lost to the Aces by 72-75.
