Shubham Singh

On Saturday, August 09, the Phoenix Mercury (19-11) will host the Atlanta Dream (19-11) in a WNBA regular-season match-up. The Dream has shot up to third while the Mercury are right behind in 4th spot.

The Mercury comes into the affair after a prolific 95-60 win against the Indiana Fever. Alyssa Thomas booked her third straight triple-double while DeWanna Bonner top-scored with 23.

On the other hand, the Dream will enter the proceedings after an impressive 86-65 win against the Chicago Sky. Allisha Gray top-scored with 25 while Jordin Canada stuffed the stat-sheet too (17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists).

Who will prevail as the titans with identical records clash? Check the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.

Phoenix Mercury vs Atlanta Dream Total Over/Under Prediction- WNBA Best Bets

The Mercury’s offense has been up and down. Bonner’s improved returns will certainly help the case evident in the last game.

But overall, Phoenix should do much better. On the other hand, the Dream’s offense has been robust despite largely depending upon Gray.

Jordin Canada’s stellar play has helped, but Atlanta deserves credit for scoring 85+ at a high clip despite injuries and frontcourt offensive inconsistencies.

Overall, I see a grinding battle here, just ending up in “Over”.

Phoenix Mercury vs Atlanta Dream Player Props Predictions- WNBA Betting Picks

Alyssa Thomas O 9.5 Rebounds: Thomas’ rebounding chops can’t be lauded enough. She has grabbed 8.7 RPG, clasping 10 or more in eight straight games. I believe she will pin down at least 10 boards again.

Allisha Gray O 19.5 Points: Gray is having the best scoring season of her career, accumulating 18.9 PPG. She has scored 21+ in three straight games. I expect at least a 20-point night here

Brionna Jones O 13.5 Points: The Dream center has been highly effective in the paint, averaging 12.8 PPG. She had just 8 in the last game but 14-23 in the three straight before that. I believe she will accomplish something similar here.

Main pick: Kelsey Mitchell O 19.5 points at BetMGM

Phoenix Mercury vs Atlanta Dream Spread Prediction

The Mercury will be raring to get a win here. They have struggled to piece together wins against elite teams like Dream, so it is a big test.

On the other hand, the Dream has been phenomenal despite its issues, largely Gray’s heels. It is a golden chance to prove that they are for real even more.

At any rate, I see the Mercury taking care of business and breaking Atlanta’s four-game winning streak.
