The 76ers are having a turbulent season
The 76ers come into this game after an 11-point win against the Chicago Bulls behind a 30-point performance by Tyrese Maxey. They are on a two-game winning streak, following a six-game losing streak. They have lost five in a row or more three times already this season. The biggest reason is that their Ace Joel Embiid has played in just 13 games. Thus, this has been another frustrating season for the franchise. Tyrese Maxey has been phenomenal throughout the year, whereas Paul George has found his rhythm, however, the lack of firepower in the frontline has derailed them on the offensive end.
The Lakers believe again
The Lakers will enter the contest after playing against the Charlotte Hornets the previous night. They have done well recently and their 21-point thumping of the Boston Celtics would have bolstered their confidence. The combination of Jarred Vanderbilt, Max Christie, Dorian Finney-Smith, Gabe Vincent, and Anthony Davis provides tremendous defensive flexibility. Meanwhile, the offense has been on fire under LeBron James’ Floor General skills, amply supported by AD and Austin Reaves. However, the team has hit such peaks before, only to hit an underwhelming losing spell soon after.

The Lakers will play on consecutive nights which can lead to exhaustion. However, the 76ers have been unable to put away high-caliber teams throughout the season and could leave an opening here. However, I see a fierce fight from the Maxey-George and they might as well flip the table here. The total could be in the 211-217 points range.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
