The 76ers are missing their heart and soul
The 76ers come into this game after an eight-point loss against the Boston Celtics despite a 34-point performance by Tyrese Maxey. They have now lost two in a row which has undone any momentum acquired after a four-game winning streak. The 76ers are 12-23 without Joel Embiid and their issues have worsened after Paul George’s injury. Rookie Jared McCain is also out of action, thus, the 76ers’ issues run deep and there is no relief in sight. Will the 76ers finally trade Embiid after years of going nowhere? The market is red-hot and we have already seen big-time players Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis, De’Aaron Fox, and Zach LaVine getting traded.
Where are the Mavericks heading?
The Mavericks enter the affair after suffering a 43-point beatdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers. This loss was not unsurprising because the team had already announced Luka Doncic’s trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. Kyrie Irving was also missing from the action and the team’s starting lineup accommodated deep bench players. Such is the state of affairs for the Mavs these days. Doncic had missed more than a month due to a calf injury, derailing the Mavericks season. While the loss of the Slovenian superstar is huge, Anthony Davis brings immense two-way chops and the Mavs definitely needed such a boost in their frontline. Unfortunately, they are already in a big hole and AD’s arrival may not matter much for this season.

The 76ers have been in dire straits throughout the season even on their home floor. However, the Mavs are going through a difficult transition after parting ways with their former franchise face in the middle of the season. Thus, the 76ers have the advantage here and may inflict a 15+ points beatdown. The total can be over 235 points with Philly cruising past 125 points especially if Anthony Davis isn’t available here.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
