Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics Preview

The 76ers need Joel Embiid

The 76ers enter the match after a 3-point loss against the Denver Nuggets as Tyrese Maxey scored 42 points in the high-scoring affair. This loss broke a much-needed four-game winning streak and the 76ers’ chances of entering the top six positions are still in jeopardy without their leader Joel Embiid. Maxey has done a brilliant job as a scorer and has kept the 76ers alive with Embiid and Paul George. The squad desperately needs Embiid to return but at this point, it may not be enough to become even a playoff-level team.

The Celtics aren’t as focused as last season

The Celtics come into this contest after escaping with a 2-point victory against the New Orleans Pelicans as Jaylen Brown scored 28 points. This was their second win in a row but the Celts haven’t played a championship squad in a while. They had a 10-6 record last month and looked clueless when their three-point-heavy approach wasn’t working. One of the main reasons for their broken player has been a lack of a strong bench, as the scoring chops of veterans Jrue Holiday and Al Horford have declined.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics– Final Prediction and Additional Information

The 76ers have done well lately but the Celtics will be eager to hunt down a team without two major pieces. Without Embiid, the 76ers have lost the Center match-up advantage which could have tilted this battle in their favor. Thus, the Celts could come up with an imposing win here with the total shooting above 224 but remaining below 235 points.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
