Penguins vs. Rangers: Projected Lineups, When & How to Watch

The Pittsburgh Penguins (22-24-9) are heading into Friday’s game against the New York Rangers (26-23-4) at Madison Square Garden with a depleted lineup. Already missing Evgeni Malkin, who is week-to-week with a lower-body injury, the Penguins will also be without Sidney Crosby, sidelined with an upper-body injury.

To fill the gaps, the Penguins called up forward Emil Bemstrom from their AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Bemstrom, who recently played in the AHL All-Star Game, has been a standout in the minors with 41 points in 37 games. The game starts at 7 PM ET at the iconic Madison Square Garden

On the other side, the Rangers are riding high after a 3-2 comeback win over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. Goals from Vincent Trocheck and Chris Kreider in the third period sealed the victory, keeping the Rangers just four points out of the final wild-card spot. New addition J.T. Miller has also made an immediate impact, helping boost linemate Mika Zibanejad, who has six points in the last three games.
