The last time we saw the Bills in action, they dropped back-to-back games against the Patriots in Week 5, and the Falcons in Week 6, after initially starting 4-0. These two losses have brought in some questions regarding their playoff chances and the Bills’ championship window.

Rationale and Analysis

The Carolina Panthers have a very strong rushing defense and rank 10th in passing defense. While their offense has been inconsistent at times, their defense has been stout. To counter Carolina’s defense, Josh Allen may need to take it upon himself and showcase his dual-threat ability, potentially crossing 31.5 rushing yards. Allen has had 30 or more rushing yards in all games except one so far, and this game should be no different.

In the last three games, Rico Dowdle has had monstrous games with 206 rushing yards against Miami, 183 yards against Dallas in Week 6, and 79 yards against the Jets. He’s had 17 or more rush attempts in the last three games, and looking at Buffalo’s weak ranked run defense (31st), Dowdle should easily cross 11.5 rushing attempts. The Panthers can depend on his to get big yardages, and Dowdle should be the focal point of their offense, trying to exploit the Bills weak defense.

While the Panthers are top 10 in passing and rushing defense, they have shown vulnerabilities in red zone defense and scoring defense, ranking 11th and 13th respectively. James Cook is has been lethal this season, and is up to 537 rushing yards and 5 TDs. He’s the primary reason for the Bills rushing offense ranked at No.1 this season, and despite Carolina’s strong defense, it will not be an easy task to contain Cook from scoring.

Panthers vs Bills Predictions

We expect the Buffalo Bills to take down the Carolina Panthers simply because of Buffalo’s offense, which ranks 3rd overall. The Bills have some of, if not, the most explosive offense and it is not an easy task to keep them in check. While the Bills are on a two-game losing streak, we expect Josh Allen to bring them back into the winning game with this game.

Expect the game to be very close, win the Bills managing to get a win at Carolina.
