Novak Djokovic vs Alexandre Muller Head-to-Head Record, Preview, Prediction, and Betting Odds for Wimbledon 2025 First Round

Djokovic starts his campaign for an 8th Wimbledon title

Seven-time Wimbledon Champion, Novak Djokovic, takes center stage with his first-round match against Alexandre Muller on Centre Court today.

Gunning for a record-extending 25th career Grand Slam, the Serb will be completely focused on the task at hand. The Frenchman, on the other hand, has only been as far as the second round at Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic vs Alexandre Muller Preview

Novak Djokovic enters this year’s Wimbledon as the sixth seed and with just 1 title under his belt. Clearly not at his best, the Serbian has even hinted at the possibility of retirement soon. In any case, while he is on court, Djokovic is still a major threat, and a deep run here is definitely on the cards.

Following his straight sets loss at the French Open to Jannik Sinner, Djokovic didn’t participate in any pre-Wimbledon tournaments, preferring to rest his body. However, his record on grass speaks for itself, with 8 titles and a win-loss record of 120-20.

As for Muller, he won his first and only title of the year in Hong Kong, but since then has achieved relatively less success. Following the French Open, he played at the Halle Open in Germany and at the Mallorca Championships in Spain, but bowed out early in both tournaments.

Muller is just 2-4 on grass for his career, and 0-2 this year. It is clearly one of his worst surfaces to play on. Overall, this year, he has hit 112 aces, 65 double faults, and has held serve 75% of the time. But going up against arguably the game’s greatest returner will be no easy task.

Novak Djokovic vs Alexandre Muller Head-to-Head Record

Djokovic and Muller have played only once before their match today. Djokovic currently leads the head-to-head 1-0 after the pair clashed for the first time at the 2023 US Open.

Novak Djokovic vs Alexandre Muller Wimbledon Prediction

Muller is up against a tall order in the opening round. Moreover, his record on this surface reflects just how far away his level is compared to the Serb opposite him.

Djokovic, on the other hand, has struggled this year; that much is true. But it is a major, and it is Wimbledon, so expect nothing but the best from him. Whether he can go all the way and win the tournament is a question, but getting past the first round should not be a challenge.

Match Prediction: Djokovic in three sets

After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
