The Indianapolis Colts are huge favorites in their week 8 clash against divisional opponents Tennessee Titans!
The unpredictability of the league, that is the NFL, once again showed us last week that nothing is given. There were quite a few surprising results during last week’s slate of games, but with those games now in the books, it’s time to turn our attention to the upcoming week 8 games.
Here are some of the best picks ahead of the full slate of week 8 games, as per the odds on FanDuel.
Looking at the spreads for week 8, it is the Indianapolis Colts who are massive favorites over the Tennessee Titans with a spread of -14.5. The next best points differential lies with the Kansas City Chiefs, who are also big favorites over the Washington Commanders with a spread of -10.5.
On the other hand, the 49ers vs Texans game is too close to call, with a spread differential of just 1.5 points, favoring the Texans.
The Colts are once again huge favorites to win over the Titans with a moneyline of -1200, while the Chiefs are -590 over the Commanders.
Let us now take a look at the betting odds as per FanDuel for all week 8 matchups, along with the predictions.
Both teams are struggling with injuries to their players. The Vikings have been better defensively, but the offense hasn’t gotten going, while the Chargers started with 3 wins in a row and are now 4-3 through 7 weeks.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minnesota Vikings | +156 | +3.5 (-115) | O 44.5 (-112) |
| Los Angeles Chargers | -186 | -3.5 (-105) | U 44.5 (-108) |
After starting with 4 wins, the Bills have dropped their last 2. Their week 7 bye week came at the perfect time, allowing them to regroup ahead of the next game. The Panthers are in a surprising position at 4-3. It’s the first time Carolina has pulled off 3 wins in a row with Bryce Young under center.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buffalo Bills | -370 | -7.5 (-102) | O 46.5 (-105) |
| Carolina Panthers | +295 | +7.5 (-120) | U 46.5 (-115) |
The Jets just can’t get over the hump and land a win. Despite being involved in a few close games, New York wasn’t able to seal the deal. Now, at 0-7, there may be a change coming under center. As for the Bengals, the trade for Joe Flacco seems to have brought new life to the team. Cincinnati defeated a strong Steelers team last week.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York Jets | +245 | +6.5 (-110) | O 43.5 (-115) |
| Cincinnati Bengals | -300 | -6.5 (-110) | U 43.5 (-105) |
The Bears started 0-2, but have knocked off 4 wins on the trot. The Ravens, however, have stumbled to 1-5 with poor defensive effort as well as the loss of quarterback Lamar Jackson for three games.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chicago Bears | +245 | +6.5 (-114) | O 50.5 (-105) |
| Baltimore Ravens | -300 | -6.5 (-106) | U 50.5 (-115) |
The Browns moved on from Joe Flacco and handed over the offense to Dillon Gabriel. Last week, they won convincingly against the Dolphins, but that’s not saying too much. New England, however, is a completely different team under Mike Vrabel, and they lead the AFC East with a 5-2 record.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cleveland Browns | +290 | +7 (-114) | O 40.5 (-105) |
| New England Patriots | -360 | -7 (-106) | U 40.5 (-115) |
Despite the plethora of injuries this 49ers team has had to deal with, Kyle Shanahan has his team leading the NFC West with a 5-2 record. Backup quarterback Mac Jones has done a splendid job, as has running back Christian McCaffrey.
Houston, though, has struggled to gain any sort of momentum. Injuries have been one of the reasons for this poor start, but overall, the team seems to have lost its edge from the previous couple of seasons.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| San Francisco 49ers | -102 | +1.5 (-115) | O 41.5 (-110) |
| Houston Texans | -118 | -1.5 (-105) | U 41.5 (-110) |
It is very sad to see the way the Miami Dolphins have spiraled so far down to just a 1-6 record this season. There doesn’t seem to be any hope this season. Atlanta, meanwhile, is having a so-so season thus far, but this should be a matchup they fancy winning.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Miami Dolphins | +300 | +7.5 (-122) | O 44.5 (-114) |
| Atlanta Falcons | -375 | -7.5 (+100) | U 44.5 (-106) |
This week 5 rematch now shifts to Philadelphia, where the Eagles will look to avenge their loss. The Giants may have surprised one and all with the win that night, but it will be an uphill task to repeat the performance. The Eagles are coming off a decent win over the Vikings and are 5-2 on the season.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York Giants | +320 | +7.5 (-118) | O 43.5 (-105) |
| Philadelphia Eagles | -405 | -7.5 (-104) | U 43.5 (-115) |
Tampa Bay is the latest team to get hit with the injury bug. Mike Evans is now out for most of the season, Chris Godwin Jr. is questionable, and Emeka Egbuka is nursing a hamstring injury. Still, Baker Mayfield and company should have enough firepower to blast past the struggling Saints.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tampa Bay Buccaneers | -220 | -4.5 (-106) | O 46.5 (-108) |
| New York Saints | +184 | +4.5 (-114) | U 46.5 (-112) |
Two teams with contrasting win-loss records. These two divisional rivals will clash in week 8, though there really is no excitement, considering the way their respective seasons are going. The Colts are probably the surprise of the season, while the Titans are a long way away from challenging.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tennessee Titans | +750 | +14.5 (-118) | O 46.5 (-114) |
| Indianapolis Colts | -1200 | -14.5 (-104) | U 46.5 (-106) |
This should be an entertaining watch. Led by Dak Prescott, Dallas has impressed more than once this season, but at the same time, the Cowboys have lost pathetically in other games. Denver is currently enjoying a solid start to the season and is atop the AFC West.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dallas Cowboys | +146 | +3.5 (-115) | O 50.5 (-110) |
| Denver Broncos | -174 | -3.5 (-105) | U 50.5 (-110) |
A great matchup with two teams having won 4 out of their 6 games this season. The Packers are coming off a win over the Cardinals, while the Steelers just lost a tough one against the Bengals. The game will be extra emotional for Aaron Rodgers, who will go up against his former team for the first time.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green Bay Packers | -174 | -3 (-115) | O 44.5 (-115) |
| Pittsburgh Steelers | +146 | +3 (-105) | U 44.5 (-105) |
The Commanders are struggling to replicate the magic of their previous season and are now under .500 on the season. Meanwhile, the Chiefs finally have the trio of wide receivers they have been longing for since last season. KC is rolling on both sides of the ball.
| Moneyline | Spread | Total Points | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Washington Commanders | +440 | +10.5 (-110) | O 47.5 (-115) |
| Kansas City Chiefs | -590 | -10.5 (-110) | U 47.5 (-105) |
With 6 teams having a bye week, week 8 will feature 13 games, starting with the Thursday Night Football prime-time clash between the Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Chargers.
