NFL Week 2 Packers vs Commanders Injury Report – Micah Parsons still doubtful as Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love fully fit for Thursday Night Football Battle!

Devavrat Kulkarni

We begin the second week of the 2025-26 NFL season with Thursday Night Football (TNF) with the Washington Commanders making the trip to Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers. This week 2 matchup features both teams coming off wins from their previous week’s encounters.

The Packers kicked off their campaign this year with a home game against the Detroit Lions. Green Bay’s solid performance on both sides of the ball will give them plenty of confidence heading into their matchup against the Commanders. Not only did they win convincingly by 2 touchdowns over the Lions, but they also showed their strength as a top 5 defensive unit.

The Commanders are also coming into this game with a positive result in week 1 against the New York Giants. While they thrashed New York 21-6, it would be wise not to read too much into it, given that the Giants are hardly a strong opponent.

Green Bay Packers Injury Report for Game versus Washington Commanders

As per the latest injury report on the Packers’ official website, there are several players designated as limited participants, including Micah Parsons, who is dealing with a back issue. Few were full participants, which also includes quarterback Jordan Love, who is dealing with an issue with his left thumb.

Guard Aaron Banks, defensive lineman Brenton Cox Jr., cornerback Bo Melton, and offensive lineman Zach Tom are the four players who did not practice on Tuesday.

The Thursday night game between the Packers and the Commanders is an important one in the context of gaining an upper hand for playoff seedings, should both teams be in that position at the end of the regular season. The winner of this game will also carry a psychological edge and will be a confidence booster for the weeks ahead.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
