Football fans, the long wait is over. It’s officially time to welcome the 2025-26 NFL season. Reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles will begin their quest to defend their title, but standing in their way are 31 other teams.

Thursday, September 4, marks the official commencement of the 2025 regular season. The Eagles will raise their Super Bowl LIX banner prior to kickoff, following which they will host the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC East showdown.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns

An AFC North showdown featuring two teams from Ohio. The Bengals take on the Browns as both teams go for an important divisional win. Cincinnati has been known to get off to slow starts at the beginning of the season, but with all three key pieces signed for another year, the Bengals are looking good to go.

On the other hand, the Browns have finally figured out their quarterback confusion and have retained faith in veteran Joe Flacco. Myles Garrett should be raring to go after putting pen to paper on a mammoth contract extension this offseason.

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers

The NFC North has been a challenging division of late. The Lions have been at the top of the division the past two seasons, but Green Bay has made some brilliant moves this offseason. Drafting Mathew Golden at receiver was one of those, but nothing can beat their latest trade with the Cowboys for superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons

Another divisional rivalry pits the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bucs have been consistent winners of the NFC South for the past 4 seasons. They boast of a strong and well-balanced team on both sides of the ball. Baker Mayfield has the likes of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and an upcoming rookie receiver, Emeka Egbuka, to throw to.
