Knicks: Need to finish strong

The New York Knicks will come into this game after an impressive 9-point win against the Milwaukee Bucks on the heels of a 31-point performance by OG Anunoby. It was their third win in four games after a lukewarm 3-6 period. The team struggled without Jalen Brunson for a while, but now the role players are finding their groove. Karl-Anthony Towns has done a terrific job to carry the load but the offense has a lot of room to improve.

Overall, the offense has struggled without Brunson this month, as the team has scored just 111.5 points per game(9th worst). They have struggled to produce offense against tight defenses, and it can hold them back by the time postseason arrives. On a positive note, OG Anunoby has found his rhythm. Meanwhile, they have been strong on defense, conceding 109.8 PPG(8th/9th).

Trail Blazers: Virtually out of the Play-in tournament race but had a positive campaign

The Portland Trail Blazers will enter the affair after a 21-point loss against the Sacramento Kings despite a 24-point, 9-rebound outing by Deni Avdija. It was their third straight loss after a four-game winning streak, a common pattern this season. The team is all but out from the Play-in tournament contention because of their latest slump but they have already done better than the expectations.

It is a surprise that they didn’t finish below 25 wins or so, considering both the inexperience and the lack of depth in the roster. Advija’s rise has been a huge reason for many wins, and their guard duo of Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe has been terrific, too. Donovan Clingan has been decent, and the team has unearthed a gem in Toumani Camara. Overall, the Trail Blazers have built a decent base despite their 2023 #3 pick Scoot Henderson not developing at the expected rate.

Toumani Camara to pull down over 6.5 rebounds: The Trail Blazers center forward has grabbed 5.2 RPG in March, constantly hitting the 6-7 mark. I believe he will reach the 7-8 mark here.
