NBA Trade Rumors: Sacramento Kings Ready to Trade Entire Roster Except Two Players

Garima Ranawat

Latest trade rumors around Sacramento Kings have left the market buzzing.

We are just over a month into the NBA 2025-26 season. While the trade deadline is a few months away, rumors around the same have already started to float in the market. In the latest developments, the Sacramento Kings are ready to have almost all of their players on the go during the deadline. Notably, the Kings finally put an end to their eight-game losing skid. They recorded fourth win of the season by taking down the Denver Nuggets in their most recent game.

While there is enough time for the team to improve, and get on track, it seems that the Kings are already done waiting for things to get better. Despite having aging veterans such as Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, and Dennis Schroder, the Kings are clearly going nowhere, which led to a few rumors. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, Kings general manager has realized that a rebuild is necessary.

“Maybe this was inevitable after a 41-point loss to the Morant-less Grizzlies, but league sources say that the Kings are willing to listen to offers for players up and down their roster…particularly for Sacramento’s veterans,” he reported in The Stein Line.

“Word is, furthermore, that new general manager Scott Perry realistically understands that he has to undertake a multiyear rebuild as opposed to trying to cobble together a plucky playoff-worthy squad from the ashes of Sacramento’s Beam Team.”

Keegan Murray and Nique Clifford Listed as ‘Untouchables’ for Sacramento Kings Trade

The reports suggest that almost all the players of the Kings could be on the move. However, there are two players who have been listed as ‘untouchables’- Keegan Murray and Nique Clifford. Notably, the Kings picked Clifford as their 24th overall pick in this year’s Draft. On the other hand, Murray was picked fourth overall during the 2022 Draft.

Murray has proven to be a valuable addition for Sacramento with his ability to dominate both ends of the court. He is able to score as well as is a prime defensive player, who knows how to guard multiple positions from perimeter to the post. This season, he has been averaging 15.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg, and 1.0 apg. But his struggles with three-point shooting are clearly visible at 28.6%.

Nique Clifford, on the other hand, is a rotation player. He has been dropping 4.4 points playing 17.6 minutes per game, and waiting for more chances to prove himself.

If this report is believed to be true, any player including DeMar DeRozan, Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, Dennis Schroder, Malik Monk and Russell Westbrook could be moved.
