The NBA Finals are off to the best start possible. Seriously, forget the low ratings narrative; the quality of the play is as good as it gets. In Game 1, the Indiana Pacers erased a 9-point lead late in the fourth quarter and won by a point.
Another game, another Tyrese Haliburton game-winner. So can the Thunder avoid another blunder in Game 2? Let us look at the best possible Same Game Parlay for this game based on BetMGM picks.
Spread: Indiana Pacers + 10.5 (-105 Straight)
During Game 1, the Pacers were assigned a projected spread of around +8.5 points. They were on the cusp of falling behind the spread, but a miraculous comeback made sure they went big against the spread.
The bookmakers are convinced that the Thunder are going to win big, going as far as projecting a double-digit win. They believe that the OKC will be able to hold on to a big lead, unlike Game 1.
I predicted the Pacers covering the spread in Game 1 and stick to it for Game 2.
Points: Pascal Siakam Over 18.5 points (-115 Straight)
The Pacers forward has been on a tear since the ECF series. He had 19 points in the Finals opener, on an efficient 7/15 shooting. During the ECF series, he had contributed 30 or more points in three of the six games.
Siakam is playing like his 2019 self, who helped the Toronto Raptors lift their first franchise trophy. I believe he will capitalize on the Game 1 performance, going “over” the mark.
NBA SGP: Pacers +10.5 and Siakam O 18.5 points for +185 at BetMGM
The Pacers showed what they are capable of in Game 1. They can’t be denied if they get a sniff. However, I understand why the bookmakers have such high hopes for the Thunder squad, which knows how to bounce back
At any rate, I do believe OKC will win, but I am confident about the Pacers covering the spread. On the other hand, I think Siakam must be itching for one of his Finals specials, hence I chose “Over” for his scoring.

I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
