NBA Rising Stars Preview, Predictions, Odds, and Picks

Shubham Singh

The NBA Rising Stars Challenge is a wonderful view of the upcoming stars of the league. It has been a much more competitive event than the All-Star game, as youngsters of the league are out there to prove a point. This year the event has been divided into four teams, including rookies, sophomores, and those vying for an NBA roster spot in the G-League. Teams play a virtual Semi-Final round with the winners taking on each other in the Finals. On that note, here is a look at which teams look the favorite to emerge on top.

Team Chris vs Team Tim NBA Rising Stars Prediction

On surface, this looks like a terrific match-up but Team Chris arguably has better shooters. Castle, Wells, and George are terrific shot-creators whereas Knecht is a brilliant spot-up option. Meanwhile, Team Tim mainly has Gradey Dick as a premier shooter. However, this team does have some terrific hustle players in Jaime Jaquez Jr., Anthony Black, and Zaccharie Rissacher. Both teams look evenly matched-up in terms of rebounding, but Team Tim has more experience which can be decisive here. I expect Team Chris to come on top here because of their long-range shooting.

Team Jeremy vs Team Mitch NBA Rising Stars Prediction

Team Jeremy is made of G-Leaguers who have a ton of experience. The long-range shooting of the team looks promising. Meanwhile, Team Mitch has a lot of hustle in its ranks. The Thompsoj twins give them a great nose on the rebounding, defensive, and near-the-rim chops. Julian Strawther is a terrific long-range option but this team will inflict most of its damage in the paint. They can certainly overwhelm the G-League squad with their size but don’t write off a bunch of desperate players.

NBA Rising Stars Finals Prediction

This is one of the trickiest prediction to make because you never know which team brings the highest level of intensity. We believe there is no clear cut favorite here but the Finalists can be Team Chris and Team Mitch. There is no doubt that Team Mitch has significant edge here because of their defensive abilities. This is why bookmakers are confident in their ability to come on top and we suggest the same. But at the same time, we also believe this is one of the riskiest fields to put a stake in the NBA All-Star Weekend.

nba nba

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
