NBA Results, March 31- Cavs Record 60th Regular Season Win, Pistons Slump to Wolves in Dramatic Encounter

Things heated up at the Target Center when the Timberwolves clashed against the Pistons. Players and coaches from both the sides engaged in physical altercation. leading to a total of seven ejections. The game saw the Timberwolves edging past the Pistons 123-104, despite trailing the game before halftime.

In another exciting NBA clash on Sunday, March 30, the Cleveland Cavaliers recorded their 60th regular season win for the first time since 2010. They took down the Los Angeles Clippers 127-122. A lot more happened on courts as a total of 16 teams engaged in exciting games. Let’s go through their key highlights-

Cavaliers 127-122 Clippers

The Cleveland Cavaliers recorded their third 60-win regular season win by taking down the Clippers 127-122. Donovan Mitchell came up with 24 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for the Cavaliers. Jarrett Allen contributed 25 points and 12 rebounds. Evan Mobley came up with 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. This was the first time the Cavs recorded 66 wins in a season since 2010.

On the other hand, the Clippers had Norman Powell coming up with 34 points, whereas James Harden chipped in 24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

Knicks 110-93 Trail Blazers

OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges came up with 28 points apiece to lead the New York Knicks to a 110-93 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Karl-Anthony Towns had 10 points, 11 rebounds and two assists, whereas Josh Hart contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

For the Trail Blazers, Deni Avdija came up with 33 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Shaedon Sharpe scored 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Toumani Camara finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Anfernee Simons tallied 15 points, three rebounds and four assists.

Timberwolves 123-104 Pistons

The Minnesota Timberwolves rolled past the Detroit Pistons 123-104 in a drama-filled encounter. The game that saw seven ejections following an on-court scuffle had Julius Randle coming up with 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Anthony Edwards came up with 25 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Mile Colney Jr. had 17 points, two rebounds and two assists.

On the other hand, the Pistons had Malik Beasley scoring 27 points and two rebounds. Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 20 points and four rebounds while Ausar Thompson came up with 14 points, four rebounds and one assist. Jalen Duren contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds and three assists for the side.

Pelicans 98-94 Hornets

The New Orleans Pelicans edged out the Charlotte Hornets 98-94 in a low scoring game. Keion Brooks Jr. scored 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists while Antonio Reeves had 16 points, three rebounds and two assists. Kelly Olynyk scored 13 points, six rebounds and two assists.

On the other hand, Miles Bridges scored 20 points, six rebounds and two assists while Nick Smith Jr. came up with 19 points, four rebounds and two assists. Jusuf Nurkic tallied 13 points 12 rebounds and five assists for the Hornets who lost their fifth straight game.

Warriors 148-106 Spurs

The Golden State Warriors continued their winning momentum and registered a blowout 148-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Brandin Podziemski had 27 points, six rebounds and five assists while Moses Moody finished with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists. Buddy Hield finished with 19 points, whereas superstars Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry finished with 13 points each.

On the Spurs’ side, no player could manage to cross the 20-point mark. Keldon Johnson came up with 19 points, three rebounds and two assists while Sandro Mamukelashvili had 14 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Malaki Branham had 13 points, whereas Devin Vassell finished with 12 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Hawks 145-124 Bucks

The Atlanta Hawks bounced back from their last two defeats and took down the Milwaukee Bucks 145-124. Zaccharie Risacher scored 36 points and grabbed six rebounds. Dyson Daniels finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Trae Young tallied 19 points, three rebounds and 19 assists.

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered a leading performance with 31 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Kevin Porter Jr. scored 28 points, four rebounds and five assists. Kyle Kuzma scored 25 points, six rebounds and one assist.

Raptors 127-109 76ers

The Toronto Raptors handed the Philadelphia 76ers their eighth straight loss by taking them down 127-109. RJ Barrett came up with 31 points, five rebounds and five assists to lead the Raptors. He was followed by Ja’Kobe Walter who came up with 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists while Jamison Battle scored 16 points, seven rebounds and one assist.

For the 76ers, Lonnie Walker IV came up with a leading performance with 23 points, three rebounds and seven assists. Jalen Hood-Schifino had 18 points, two rebounds and five assists. Ricky Council IV scored 17 points, 11 rebounds and three assists while Jared Butler scored 15 points, one rebound and six assists.

Rockets 148-109 Suns

The Houston Rockets recorded their third straight win as they took down the Phoenix Suns 148-109. Jalen Green led the Rockets with 33 points, two rebounds and two assists while Alperen Sengun came up with 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Fred VanVleet and Cam Whitmore came up with 13 points each while Amen Thompson finished with 12 points, ten rebounds and nine assists.

The Suns, on the other hand, who recorded their third straight loss, had Devin Booker scoring 28 points, three points and three assists. Star forward Kevin Durant came up with 11 points, seven rebounds and one assist before an ankle sprain forced him to walk out.
