NBA Results, March 20- Rockets Continue Dominance, Luka Doncic Leads Lakers to Another Victory, and More

Here, we discuss the key highlights of the NBA games that took place on Wednesday, March 19.

The Houston Rockets continued their splendid form and won their eight straight game. They recorded a significant 116-108 win over the Orlando Magic. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers recorded their third straight victory by taking down the Denver Nuggets 120-108. Luka Doncic came up with another game leading performance to guide the side to ninth straight home win. 

A total of 22 teams clashed against each other across 11 thrilling games on Wednesday, March 19. Here, let us take you through the key highlights of what the NBA world witnessed yesterday. 

Pacers 135-131 Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks’ woeful run continued as they slumped to the Indiana Pacers 135-131. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 29 points, one rebound and five assists, while Bennedict Mathurin scored 23 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Andrew Nembhard had 22 points, three points, eight assists. Aaron Nesmith came up with 18 points, five rebounds and two assists.

For the Mavericks, P.J Washington had 26 points and five rebounds while Jaden Hardy had 24 points, two rebounds and two assists. Naji Marshall came up with 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists while Kai Jones had 18 points, 11 rebounds and one assist. Spencer Dinwiddie and Max Christie scored 17 points, each. This was the Mavericks’ fourth straight loss and ninth in the last ten games. 

Rockets 116-108 Magic

The Houston Rockets extended their winning streak to eight matches with their 116-108 win over the Orlando Magic. Jalen Green came up with 26 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Alperen Sengun had 22 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Fred VanVleet scored 19 points, six rebounds and three assists while Tari Eason ended the night with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists. 

On the other hand, Paolo Banchero finished with 31 points, six rebounds and five assists. Franz Wagner came up with 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Goga Bitadze had 19 points and eight rebounds for the Magic, who recorded their seventh loss in the last ten games. Cory Joseph had 13 points, one rebound and two assists. 

Pistons 116-113 Heat

The Detroit Pistons handed the Miami Heat their ninth straight loss by taking them down 116-113. Cade Cunningham scored 25 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for the Pistons. Malik Beasley scored 16 points, one rebound and three assists while Jalen Duren had 15 points, 11 rebounds and one assist. Ausar Thompson came up with 14 points, six rebounds and one assist. 

On the other hand, Bam Adebayo had 30 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Tyler Herro had 29 points, four rebounds and three assists. Kel’el Ware and Duncan Robinson scored 14 points, each. Davion Mitchell scored 12 points, one rebound and four assists. 

Spurs 120-105 Knicks

The San Antonio Spurs bounced back from their previous loss and recorded a 120-105 win over the New York Knicks. Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 34 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Stephon Castle came up with 22 points, three rebounds and three assists while Chris Paul had 12 points, six rebounds and nine assists. Harrison Barnes scored 11 points, four rebounds and one assist while Devin Vassell had 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. 

For the New York Knicks, Karl-Anthony Towns had 32 points, nine rebounds and two assists. OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges finished with 14 points each. Mitchell Robinson scored 13 points, and 11 rebounds, whereas Miles McBride and Cameron Payne had 11 points each.

Thunder 133-100 76ers

The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their dominance and recorded a blowout 133-100 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Aaron Wiggins came up with 26 points, four rebounds and six assists for the Thunder who were without their superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Isaiah Joe had 21 points, three rebounds and five assists. Chet Holmgren scored 19 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Jaylin Williams, too, had 19 points while contributing 17 rebounds and 11 assists. 

The 76ers, who were handed their eighth loss in the last ten games, had Quentin Grimes leading with 28 points, two rebounds and five assists. Justin Edwards recorded 19 points, two rebounds and two assists. Chuma Okeke finished with 14 points, 15 rebounds and two assists. Guerschon Yabusele scored 11 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Alex Reese scored 11 points and five rebounds. 

Pelicans 119-115 Timberwolves

The Pelicans snapped their three-game losing streak and took down the Timberwolves 119-115. Zion Williamson came up with 29 points, five rebounds and eight assists for the Pelicans. CJ McCollum scored 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. Bruce Brown Jr. scored 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists while Kelly Olynkyk, Yves Missi, Jordan Hawkins finished with 13 points each. 

For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards led the charts with 29 points, six rebounds and four assists. Julius Randle scored 17 points, three rebounds and three assists. Mike Colney Jr. finished with 16 points, two rebounds and two assists. This was the second straight loss for the Timberwolves. 

Jazz 128-112 Wizards

The Utah Jazz bounced back from their previous defeat and defeated the Washington Wizards 128-112. Kyle Filipowski finished with 21 points, four rebounds and two assists while Keyonte Geogre had 20 points, four rebounds and four assists. Collin Sexton came up with 18 points, three rebounds and five assists, while Brice Sensabaugh finished with 17 points and one assist.  Isaiah Collier had 16 points, three rebounds and six assists. 

On the other hand, Colby Jones scored 24 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Wizards who fell in their second straight game. Alex Sarr came up with 22 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Tristan Vukcevic had 17 points and five rebounds. 

Suns 127-121 Bulls

After recording a blowout win over the Raptors, the Phoenix Suns continued their winning momentum and took down the Chicago Bulls 127-121. Devin Booker led the Suns with 41 points, four rebounds and seven assists, while Kevin Durant had 26 points, four rebounds and eight assists. Nick Richards finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and two assists, while Ryan Dunn had 16 points and five rebounds. 

On the flip side, the Bulls were led by Nikola Vucevic and Coby White, who finished with 24 points each. Josh Giddey had 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Kevin Huerter had 15 points, two rebounds and four assists. 

Trail Blazers 115-99 Grizzlies 

The Trail Blazers extended their winning streak to three games as they took down the Memphis Grizzlies 115-99. Anfernee Simons had 22 points, five rebounds and three assists. Shaedon Sharpe came up with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Toumani Camara scored 15 points, two rebounds and three assists. 

The Grizzlies, who recorded their second straight loss, had Desmond Bane leading the charts with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Scotty Pippen Jr. came up with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Santi Aldama had 16 points, five rebounds and one assist. 

Kings 123-119 Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers fell for the third straight game in a 123-119 loss against the Kings. DeMar DeRozan finished with 27 points, one rebound and four assists. Malik Monk came up with 22 points, six rebounds and eight assists. Devin Carter scored 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. Keegan Murray, Keon Tyrese Ellis and Trey Lyles finished with 13 points, each. 

On the other hand, Evan Mobley led the Cavaliers with 31 points, ten rebounds and two assists. Donovan Mitchell ended with 26 points, five rebounds and four assists. Ty Jerome finished with 14 points, one rebound and six assists. 

Lakers 120-108 Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers recorded their third-straight win as they took down the Denver Nuggets 120-108 in a lop-sided game at Crypto.com Arena. Luka Doncic once again came up with a game-leading performance. He tallied 31 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Austin Reaves followed him with 22 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Dalton Knecht and Gabe Vincent finished with 12 points and one assist, each. 

The Nuggets, who were without Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic for the second straight game, had Aaron Gordon scoring 26 points and eleven rebounds. Jalen Pickett had 14 points, four rebounds and five assists. Michael Porter Jr., Peyton Watson and Russell Westbrook had 12 points each for the Nuggets.
