Knicks 116-95 Heat

New York Knicks handed the Miami Heat their first eight-game losing streak under Erik Spoelstra. Mikal Bridges scored 28 points, while Josh Hart tied a franchise record with his eighth triple-double of the season. Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 23 points for the Knicks, who won the season series 3-0. The game was delayed as Tracy Morgan suffered a medical emergency. Duncan Robinson led Miami with 22 points. This is Miami’s longest losing skid since March 2008.

Pelicans 81-127 Pistons

Detroit Pistons routed the New Orleans Pelicans with a 46-point blowout loss. Cade Cunningham scored 24 points and Simone Fontecchio added 23 for Detroit. Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 30 points while Yves Missi dropped 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Pelicans suffered their biggest defeat in the NBA and lost seven games in the last eight.

Rockets 144-127 76ers

Houston Rockets extended their winning streak to a season-best seven games after an overtime win against the short-handed 76ers, who shut down Paul George for the remainder of the season. Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr. had 30 points apiece. Rockets had a 10-2 run in the end to tie the game at 131. Quentin Grime led the 76ers with a career-high 46 points and 13 rebounds.

Warriors 105-114 Nuggets

Aaron Gordon dropped a season-best 38 points and the Denver Nuggets snapped the Golden State Warriors’ seven-game winning streak. Russell Westbrook scored a triple-double, including a decisive late 3-pointer. Nuggets played without their two star players, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. Jimmy Butler led the Dubs with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Stephen Curry added 20 points and seven assists. Draymond Green reached 6,000 career rebounds to become the sixth player in Warriors franchise history.

Lakers 125-109 Spurs

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the San Antonio Spurs for their second straight win in a five-game homestand. Austin Reaves scored 30 points while Luka Doncic added 21 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds. The Lakers extended their home winning streak to eight games. Stephon Castle led the Spurs with 23 points and Devin Vassell added 17. Doncic struggled through a 5-for-20 shooting performance.
