The Oklahoma City Thunder are the fourth Conference Finalists for NBA Playoffs 2025. The table-toppers registered a blowout win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 7 of semifinals series to advance to their eleventh conference finals. In the forthcoming series, they will clash against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Wolves made it to the conference finale by pulling off a 4-1 upset over the Golden State Warriors in the previous round. This is the second consecutive conference finals appearance for the Wolves and third overall in the history of the franchise.

They began their NBA Playoffs 2025 journey by finishing sixth in the standings with a 49-33 record. The Thunder, on the flip side, had a remarkable season, where they finished with the league’s best record of 68 wins and 14 losses in the 2024-25 regular season.

Both teams are in pursuit of their first NBA Championship. Though the Thunder were crowned champions in 1979, it was when they were in Seattle. They haven’t been able to win the championship after they relocated to Oklahoma City after the 2007-08 season. On the other hand, the Timberwolves haven’t been able to win any championship in the history of the franchise ever since they joined the NBA as an expansion team for the 1989-90 season.
