The NBA Playoffs 2025 have reached the conference finals. The New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers became the two Eastern Conference finalists. The Pacers took down the Cleveland Cavaliers to become the first conference finalists of the season. On the other hand, the Knicks took down the reigning champions Boston Celtics in six games to join the Pacers in the final two in the East.

This is the second consecutive conference finals appearance for the Pacers, whereas the first appearance for the Knicks since 2000. In the previous edition, the Pacers were handed a 4-0 defeat by the reigning champions Boston Celtics, ending their playoff campaign. On the other hand, the Knicks were handed a 4-2 defeat by the Pacers the last time they made it to the conference finals.

Talking about their NBA Playoffs 2025 campaigns, the Pacers finished fourth in the East with a 50-32 record. They were paired against the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round of the playoffs, whom they defeated 4-1 to advance ahead in the championship contention. The Knicks, on the other hand, finished third in the standings with a 51-31 record. They were paired against the sixth-seed Detroit Pistons. It took the Knicks six games to take their rivals down and book a semi finals berth.
