The Los Angeles Lakers ended up winning the game, despite a Minnesota comeback in the fourth-quarter. Anthony Edwards left the game with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists.
His technical foul also triggered an automatic one-game suspension, ruling him out for the match against the Utah Jazz. Timberwolves lost the match 117-116 as they push for a playoff spot in a tight race. He leads the league in technical fouls received and became the first player to be suspended due to the accumulation of technical fouls in the 2024-25 season.
Anthony Edwards has an important role to play late in the season as the franchise push for a guaranteed playoff spot. He is averaging 27.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists in the 2024-25 NBA season.
Minnesota Timberwolves’ have struggled without Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert. Long absence of starters have left the Wolves with a depleted bench which has proved fatal for the team. In the month of February, Wolves only won five games out of 13, in absence of Randle who last played against the Utah Jazz on January 30.
Rudy Gobert has also struggled with a bad back and last played on February 12. Donte DiVincenzo also returned for his first game after more than a month against the Los Angeles Lakers. The franchise would hope for a faster recovery as the regular seasons enters the final stage.
