It was an exciting day in the NBA as 30 teams clashed in 15 matches on Wednesday, February 12. The Utah Jazz put an end to the Los Angeles Lakers’ six-match winning streak, while the New York Knicks recorded their sixth win in eight games.

Jamal Murray delivered a sensational performance of 55 points and guided the Nuggets to a solid win over the Trail Blazers. On the other hand, Kyrie Irving outscored Stephen Curry with his 42 points and led the Mavericks to a 111-107 win over star-studded Golden State Warriors.

Celtics 116-103 Spurs

The Boston Celtics took down the San Antonio Spurs 116-103 in an exciting clash that saw Jayson Tatum scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis had 29 points with six rebounds and one assist. Derrick White finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and nine assists as the second-seeded Western Conference team recorded their third-straight win.

On the other hand, De’Aaron Fox scored 23 points, Stephon Castle finished with 20 points while Victor Wembanyama had 17 points to contribute.

Knicks 149-148 Hawks

The New York Knicks recorded their second-straight win as they took down the Atlanta Hawks in an overtime thriller 149-148. Karl Anthony Towns led the charts with 44 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. This was Towns’ second consecutive 40-point score, which put him in history books of the franchise. Jalen Brunson came up with 36 points, three rebounds and eight assists. Precious Achiuwa had 26 points to contribute along with eight rebounds and one assist.

On the other hand, Trae Young scored 38 points, one rebound and game-high nineteen assists. Dyson Daniels had 23 points, four rebounds and four assists while Onyeka Okongwu finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.

Bucks 103-101 Timberwolves

The Milwaukee Bucks bounced back from their previous defeat at the hands of the Warriors and dished out the Timberwolves 103-101 on Wednesday. The Bucks, who were without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, saw Kyle Kuzma coming up with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Gary Trent Jr. finished with 21 points, while Taurean Prince and Brook Lopez finished with 11 points apiece.

On the Timberwolves’ side, Anthony Edwards finished with 28 points, while Rudy Gobert had 20 points to add. Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels finished with 22 and 10 points, respectively.

Jazz 131-119 Lakers

The Utah Jazz avenged their past defeat and handed a blowout 131-119 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Lauri Markkanen scored 32 points with five rebounds, while Keyonte George finished with 20 points. Jordan Clarkson chipped in 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Rui Hachimura finished with 19 points for the Lakers while LeBron James contributed 18 points. Luka Doncic, who played his second game for the Lakers, finished with 16 points. The game also saw rookie Bronny James making his comeback. He recorded a career-high score in the NBA with nine points and one assist.

Nuggets 132-121 Trailblazers

Jamal Murray led the scoresheet and delivered a career-high performance with 55 points as the Denver Nuggets took down the Portland Trail Blazers 132-121. The Nuggets headed into the All-Star break with an eight-game winning streak. Nikola Jokic, who finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, recorded his 25th triple-double of the season. With this, he is now the 3rd player in history to have more than 25 triple-doubles in three seasons.

For the Trail Blazers, Anfernee Simons finished with 26 points, three rebounds and six assists. Donovan Clingan and Jabari Walker both had 17 points each, while Deni Avdija, Dalano Banton and Shaedon Sharpe finished with 14 points each.

Mavericks 111-107 Warriors

Kyrie Irving led the Dallas Mavericks to a 111-107 win over the Golden State Warriors with his 42 points. Apart from Irving, Klay Thompson and Max Christie finished with 17 points each. On the Warriors’ side, Stephen Curry put on a 25-point show while their newest signing, Jimmy Butler finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Moses Moody and Gary Payton II had 14 points each, while Draymond Green finished with 13 points, nine five rebounds and five assists.
