The 2024 Emirates NBA Cup saw 10 teams in action on Tuesday. Group B leaders Milwaukee Bucks in take on Miami Heat in the East, while the defending in-season tournament champion Los Angeles Lakers suffer a heavy defeat against Kevin Durant-led Phoenix Suns in the West.
The Rockets advanced to knockout rounds after securing an overtime win over the Miami Heat. Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards were knocked out after their 12th successive defeat.
The Phoenix Suns toppled the Lakers from West Group B table after a 127-100 win.

The four quarterfinal games will be played Tuesday, Dec. 10, and Wednesday, Dec. 11.
The semifinals will be held in Las Vegas on Dec. 14. The championship game for the NBA Cup will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Notably, it will not be counted toward the participating teams’ regular-season records or their players’ statistics.
