| Best Bet | Minnesota Timberwolves -7.5 vs Memphis Grizzlies (spread) | -108 at FanDuel |
The Minnesota Timberwolves are seeded fifth in the West, and maintain a 14-11 record on the road. They are entering Tuesday’s game on the back of a four-game winning streak. The Wolves have the 10th-best offensive rating and the fourth-best defensive rating in the league. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, have been occupying the 12th spot in the standings and will enter the Monday’s fixture on the back of a six-game losing streak. They are seeded towards the middle of the rack in terms of offense and defense.
The spread at Timberwolves -7.5 seemingly understimates the guests considering the Grizzlies’ ongoing struggles. We would like the number to be around -10 or -11. The Wolves cover well in such spots.
Keeping the Minnesota Timberwolves’ elite offense and defense, as well as the Grizzlies’ recent losses, we are comfortably laying the Wolves -7.5 (-108) as our Best Bet for the day.
| Pick Type | Market | Odds and Book |
| Pick #2 | Joel Embiid Over 28.5 points (player prop) | -104 at FanDuel |
Joel Embiid is the second-leading scorer for the Philadelphia 76ers, who drops over 26 points per game. If playing, Embiid can be relied upon to put up a decent performance for his team. In the last five contests, he has had five 28+ point games, including a 40-point show against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Clippers have a slight offensive edge over the Philadelphia 76ers, but the latter are seeded well above the Clippers in terms of defense.
Considering the 76ers’ defensive edge as well as Embiid’s recent games, we are backing him to exceed the number comfortably.
| Pick Type | Market | Odds and Book |
| Play #3 | Indiana Pacers vs Houston Rockets Under 218.5 (total) | -108 at FanDuel |
The Indiana Pacers have the worst offense in the league, and they are seeded 21st in terms of defense. The Houston Rockets, on the other hand, have the fourth-best offense and the sixth-best defense in the league. In terms of pace, while the Pacers play fast, the Rockets maintain a slow pace.
While the recent matchups of the Pacers have resulted in high-scoring games, those of the Rockets have trended under. Considering the fact that the Rockets have a defensive edge over their rivals, we expect the upcoming game to be a low-scoring affair.
