Houston Dynamo: 1-4 :Inter Miami

Inter Miami got their first win of the MLS 2025 season by a 4-1 margin against Houston Dynamo. In the absence of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez especially shone in this match with a hattrick of assists and an exceptional solo goal. Telasco Segovia was second to him as he scored a brace.

Inter Miami opened the scoresheet early into this match in the 6th minute when Segovia scored from a precise pass from Suarez. Tadeo Allende doubled the lead again with a brilliant finish from a pass from Suarez in the 37th minute. Before halftime struck, Segovia scored again.

He completed his brace from another Suárez assist. Suárez showcased his individual brilliance in the second half. He wove through defenders and scored their fourth goal in the 79th minute. It was too little, too late, but Houston’s Nicolas Lodeiro managed a consolation goal in the 85th minute.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. LA Galaxy (2-1)

Vancouver Whitecaps continued their perfect start to the season under new manager Jesper Sorensen as they defeated LA Galaxy by a 2-1 margin at BC Place. Sam Adekugbe gave Vancouver an early lead from a rebound of a Pedro Vite shot which was saved in the 2nd minute.

However, Adekugbe sustained an injury later in the first half which raised concern for the home side. LA Galaxy took advantage and equalized in the 39th minute – credit to a Gabriel Pec goal. The match looked to be ending in a draw until the 87th minute when Vancouver’s Brian White scored.

White took advantage of an inch-perfect cross from Vite with a glancing header and secured all three points for Vancouver in dying minutes. Even though they missed key players like Riqui Puig and Joseph Paintsil, LA Galaxy showed resilience throughout the match but fell short. Vancouver now have six points from two games, while Galaxy are still winless.
