Both Andreeva and Bencic will be playing their first Wimbledon QF.
No. 7 seed Mirra Andreeva takes on the experienced Belinda Bencic of Switzerland in the 2025 Wimbledon Championships quarterfinal on Wednesday. The Russian, who was self-admittedly nervous playing in front of Roger Federer during her R16 match, faces his countryman for a spot in the final four. The duo will be competing against one another for the first time in this intense last eight battle.
Mirra Andreeva won consecutive trophies in Dubai and Indian Wells at the beginning of the year. After claiming a partial Sunshine Double by capturing the Miami Open doubles crown, the 18-year-old reached numerous quarterfinals in the clay court swing. Andreeva came into Wimbledon with a 1-2 grass court record in 2025 – she has a 68% service game success rate on the surface. The World No. 7 has beaten Sherif, Bronzetti, Baptiste and Navarro without dropping a set to reach this stage.
Mirra Andreeva becomes the youngest woman to reach the Wimbledon Quarterfinals since Maria Sharapova in 2005.

18 years & 62 days old at the start of the tournament… the exact same age Maria Sharapova did it.
Legacy. ❤️

A former Olympic gold medalist and US Open semifinalist, Belinda Bencic has a decorated portfolio on the WTA Tour. The Swiss baseliner is a former Top-5 player, and is currently ranked No. 35 in the world. Having recently suffered an arm injury, Wimbledon is just the second tournament back for Bencic. The 28-year-old has an impressive 25-10 record this year, including 4-1 on grass. She defeated Parks, Jacquemot, Cocciaretto and Alexandrova to enter her maiden Wimbledon QF.
What a moment ✨

The head-to-head record between Andreeva and Bencic is 0-0. Wednesday’s quarterfinal at SW19 will be their first professional meeting so far.

Andreeva has not been able to generate consistent power in her groundstrokes. However, her accuracy and depth has ensured smooth sailing for her so far. But Bencic will pose some tricky questions for the Russian – the veteran thrives on taking the ball early and adopting an attacking approach. Despite Andreeva having the superior court coverage and movement, we predict the Swiss starlet to break her resistance on Wednesday.
Prediction: Belinda Bencic in straight sets.
The pre-match money line as well as the odds market suggest the same thing – Andreeva is the firm favourite (70%) against underdog Bencic (30%) in the 2025 Wimbledon quarterfinal. Here are all the important odds for the clash (as per BetMGM):
