On Tuesday, July 22, the Minnesota Lynx (20-4) will host the Chicago Sky (7-15) in a WNBA regular-season game. The Sky have slipped to the 11th position again, while the Lynx are comfortably at the top of the standings.
The Lynx comes into this game after an impressive 79-66 win against the Phoenix Mercury, as Kayla McBride led with 18 points.
On the other hand, the Sky comes into the game after a terrible 49-86 loss against the Atlanta Dream, as their leading scorers, Ariel Atkins and Angel Reese, were sidelined.
Who will come on top as the two teams clash for the fourth and last time this month? Check the predictions related to player props, total, and spread here.
The three games between the two have produced 155, 168, and 169 points. The Sky has scored under 80 in two games, whereas Minnesota has scored 80 or more in each of the games. It is a reflection of their offenses.
Overall, the score has gone in the “Over” category despite both teams showing some offensive inconsistencies lately. At any rate, I still expect the score to go “Under” here.
Total: Under 162.5 for -110 at BetMGM
Here is an overview of my selections:
| Picks | BetMGM Odds |
| Total U 162.5 | -110 |
| Spread- Sky +13.5 | -110 |
| Angel Reese O 15.5 Points | TBD |
| Money Line- Lynx | -750 |
Angel Reese O 15.5 Points: Reese is improving as a scorer with each day. Her ability to create off the dribble has elevated the offensive capabilities. Reese has scored 16 or more in three straight games (19 PPG). Thus, I expect her to go “Over”.
Napheesa Collier O 22.5 points: Collier is the leading scorer of the W with 23.2 PPG. She has put up 25.3 PPG against Sky, scoring 26 or more in two straight games. I believe she will score at least 23 here.
Rachel Banham O 1.5 3-Pointers: Banham is certainly behind Sky’s improved play. She has knocked down 2 or more in eight straight games. I believe she will nail at least 2 here again.
Main pick: Angel Reese O 15.5 points at BetMGM
The Lynx are the obvious favorites. However, the Sky has taken one under their nose recently; apart from that, they almost crafted an upset in the other. Minnesota showed some vulnerabilities before the All-Star Break, but they are experienced and motivated to make a strong push for the title.
Thus, the Sky can be blown away here. But I expect Reese and Co. to cover the spread at least. The bookmakers have projected a 13+ winning margin for Lynx, but I see a 7-10 points win for Collier’s squad.
Spread/Money Line Pick: Spread: Sky +13.5 for -105 at BetMGM

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
