Miami Heat vs Portland Trail Blazers Preview

The Heat are still in the playoff race

The Heat enters the game after an emphatic 21-point win against the San Antonio Spurs as Center Kel’el Ware had a career-high 25-point outing. The victory enabled the Heat to erase a three-game losing streak and the team is yet to lose four in a row this season. The Heat is no longer the defensive behemoth it used to be a few years ago, but it still does a great job at the end, conceding 110 points per game(7th best). The situation in the locker room is tense since Jimmy Butler openly demanded a trade but Tyler Herro has kept their season afloat on the offensive end.

The Trail Blazers are struggling as expected

The Trail Blazers enter the game after an 11-point victory over the Chicago Bulls as sophomore Scoot Henderson put up 25 points and 8 assists. This win helped break a five-game losing streak but did little to improve the Trail Blazers’ Play-in tournament chances. They have lost 20 out of their last 28 games, which is the type of trajectory they have followed for multiple seasons. While the season has been largely forgettable, the guard trio of Anfernee Simons, Shaedon Sharpe, and Scoot Henderson has a lot of promise. Henderson has picked up his play this month after a lengthy lean period.

Miami Heat vs Portland Trail Blazers– Final Prediction and Additional Information

The Heat has been inconsistent at home but they do know how to put away low ranked teams. They beat Trail Blazers by 20+ points just a week ago or so away from home so they will fancy their chances of a big win here. The Heat should go past 120 points and hold Trail Blazers probably under 107 points here. Tyler Herro may fancy another 30+ points outburst while Scoot Henderson may cool down here.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
