Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls Match Preview

Heat: Doing its most with less

The Miami Heat will enter the affair after playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the previous night. Before that, they lost by 5 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers despite a 34-point, 12-rebound performance by Bam Adebayo. This was their second loss in two games, and the Heat are 4-8(excluding the Wolves game) over their last 12 games. They lack a true point guard and have only compiled 107.1 points per game(5th worst) in the period. But they have battled hard on the defensive end, giving up 109.5 PPG (5th best). Overall, the Heat may be able to crack the Play-in tournament, but it looks like a first-round exit.

Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Tyler Herro | SG: Davion Mitchell | SG: Terry Rozier | PF/C: Bam Adebayo | C: Kel’el Ware

Key Injuries/Updates: The status of Tyler Herro, Jamie Jacquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, Andrew Wiggins, and Dru Smith is UNCLEAR.

Bulls: Good-looking offense, poor defense

The Bulls will come into this game after a 2-point win against the Orlando Magic as Coby White came up with a career-high 44-point performance. It broke a two–game losing streak, but the Bulls have somehow managed 3 wins in six games. Their offense has been clicking even after the departure of Zach LaVine, as they have scored 115+points even against tough defenses. However, defensively, they have been struggling a lot, constantly conceding 120+ points.

Expected Starting Lineup

PG/SG: Josh Giddey | PG/SG: Coby White| PG/SG: Tre Jones | PF: Matas Buzelis | PF/C: Zach Collins

Key Injuries/Updates: The status of Lonzo Ball, Patrick Williams, and Nikola Vucevic is UNCLEAR. Ayo Dosunmu is OUT for the season.

Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls Total Over/Under Prediction

While the Bulls have brilliant offense, the Heat has a terrific defense. This makes for an interesting battle, but one important factor is the Bulls coming into this game after playing on the previous night against a playoffs-level team, negating their home-court advantage a tad. Thus, the Bulls with fresher legs can be at an advantage here and score at least 117+ points, opening up a pathway for a high-scoring game.

Projected Predictions:

  • Total: Over 227.5 for +100 at BetMGM
  • Bulls: Points Over 112.5 for +100 at BetMGM

Miami Heat Player Props Predictions- Projected Top Bets & Odds

Tyler Herro to score over 24.5 points: The Heat guard has hovered around the 24 PPG mark throughout the season. He can exploit the holes in Bulls’ defense and get around 25-28 points here. But will he play in this game?

Bam Adebayo to score over 21.5 points: The Heat center can exploit the weak inside defense of the Bulls here. He has already scored 30 or more in two matches in March. Thus, he can be in the 23-26 points range here.

Chicago Bulls Player Props Predictions – Projected Top Bets & Odds

Coby White to score over 26.5 points: The Bulls guard has scored 29.75 PPG over the last four games. I believe he will be in the 27-31 points range here.

Josh Giddey to dish at least 8.5 assists: The Bulls’ guard has delivered 9.2 helpers per game over the last five affairs. I expect him to be in the 9-11 assists range here.

Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls Match Prediction

The Heat will come into this game after tackling a physical Timbreolves squad, so their energy can be drained while entering the game. Meanwhile, the Bulls will be much fresher, which can be a huge difference-maker. This is why I believe the terrific offense of Chicago will be able to stave off the Heat in this game. Hence, I think the points margin will be around 4-6 points in favor of Chicago.
