Messi at Super Bowl 2025: Inter Miami and former Barcelona quartet make surprise appearance at Super Dome

The Super Bowl is the world’s biggest sporting event and the biggest celebrities reached the Super Dome to witness the classic NFL final between Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi also arrived at the 2025 Super Bowl event, which was packed with notorious personalities.

Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Donald Trump and the top celebrities from the country arrived at New Orleans’ Super Dome for the Super Bowl. Lionel Messi, who was part of Miami’s pre-season win, reached with his fellow teammates to watch the game.

The Argentine was photographed upon arriving at Caesar’s Super Dome. Messi was in a cream-coloured outfit with white and grey Adidas sneakers. His sons, Ciro and Mate were also in the stands, wearing a black Kansas City Chiefs outfit, with the name Mahomes printed on the back.

Lionel Messi joined some of his Inter Miami teammates, including Jordi Alba, Luis Suárez, and Sergio Busquets. The famous trio has also played in Barcelona and won trophies. Jordi Alba shared a beautiful picture from the Super Bowl, showing the hulking, 70,000-seat, triple-decker stadium.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the biggest NFL star and he earlier expressed his happiness after knowing that Messi is arriving to watch the 2025 Super Bowl.

“He’s the GOAT of his profession. To have someone like that at the game would be awesome. I get to showcase who I am and what talent that I have,” said Mahomes, per USA Today.

“I got to watch him when he played in Kansas City, I think it was last year… And he had two goals in that game. And you see the greatness, the greatness that he displays every single day. And so [he’s] someone else that I can look up to and try to get to his level someday.”

Who won the 2025 Super Bowl?

Philadelphia Eagles ended the winning streak of the Kansas City Chiefs and won the 2025 Super Bowl 40-22. It was a complete domination from the Eagles, who denied Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs a Super Bowl three-peat. Philadelphia secured the franchise’s second Super Bowl championship.
