Memphis Grizzlies’ Brandon Clarke Ruled Out for Rest of Season Due to Knee Injury

Brandon Clarke will be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The Memphis Grizzlies, who are already dealing with the absence of Ja Morant due to a left hamstring strain, received another blow on Saturday. Forward Brandon Clarke has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season due to a knee injury. He sustained the injury during the Grizzlies’ 115-99 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Clarke left the game against Portland in the first quarter due to right knee soreness and did not return. In his five minutes on the court, he recorded just one rebound. While the team initially hoped the injury was not serious, the latest update suggests otherwise.

The Grizzlies released an official statement stating that the 28-year-old has been diagnosed with a high-grade PCL strain in his right knee and is expected to be out of action for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Clarke played only six games last season but was making an impact this season. He appeared in 64 games during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 8.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game.

Despite maintaining a solid record of 43 wins in 71 games this season, they are 5-5 in the last ten games. Currently on a five-game road trip, they are set to clash against the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday and Thursday.
