Manchester United’s Pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United’s interest in Mbuemo is no surprise, given the 25-year-old’s stellar performance during the 2024-25 Premier League season. The Cameroon international scored an impressive 20 goals and provided nine assists for Brentford, making him one of the league’s standout forwards, outscored only by Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, and Erling Haaland.

His versatility, Premier League experience, and ability to perform in high-pressure situations make him an ideal fit for Amorim’s 3-4-3 system, particularly as a right-sided No. 10 or wide playmaker. United’s latest bid, reported to be around £65m plus add-ons, reflects their determination to secure Mbeumo’s signature before pre-season training begins on July 7, 2025.

Brentford, however, are holding firm, demanding a fee closer to the £62.5m United paid for Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, their first signing of the summer. Talks between the clubs are ongoing, with Brentford seeking clarity on performance-related bonuses and more achievable add-ons to finalize the deal.
