Guardiola’s Cityzens Face Glasner’s Eagles in a High-Stakes Wembley Showdown

Manchester City will play their third consecutive FA Cup Final as they seek their eighth title in club history. Facing Crystal Palace, who defeated Aston Villa 3-0 in the semi-final, Guardiola will face a unique challenge. Moreover, given the Premier League fixtures, it’ll be tricky for the Spanish manager to rotate his squad for the climax of the campaign.

Oliver Glasner has done an impressive job since he arrived at Crystal Palace. Taking points from their City rivals Arsenal and Tottenham in recent weeks, the Eagles will also flourish in confidence. Moreover, the triumph over Aston Villa in the semi-finals could also play a part in providing a mental boost to the London club.

Manchester City Injury News

Manchester City will have all their options from the Southampton clash available in the FA Cup 2025 final. Ilkay Gundogan will continue to be sidelined as Rodri is seen to be back in training as well. Speaking on his recovery, Guardiola in his interview said:

“He is much, much better. I will speak to the doctors. When he is ready, he will start. We don’t want to take a step back now.”

Guardiola will have to keep an eye out for his Premier League fixtures given the importance of games from here on. Taking all his players healthy to the Club World Cup will also be a factor for the Spanish manager to consider.

Glasner addressed Palace fans that their training schedule hasn’t been significantly altered in preparation for the highly anticipated match against City, except for the heightened pre-match media obligations.
