Surprisingly, the German’s best performance of the season came at the Australian Open – where she reached the Round of 16. At just 23, Lys is nearing her maiden Top-50 entry. She managed to hit 72% first serves in her Round-1 encounter, thus improving her 2025 record to 22-18 ahead of the Cincinnati Round of 64. Lys was beaten 2-6 2-6 by Iga Swiatek in her most recent outing at the Canadian Open.
