Luka Doncic gives honest opinion about playing with Klay Thompson
Luka Doncic and Klay Thompson are seemingly adapting to each other with the latter’s arrival to the team. On Wednesday, the Dallas Mavericks hosted the Chicago Bulls.
Going into the game as favorites, the home side secured a dominant 119-99 victory. With their victory, they currently hold a record of 5-3. The Mavericks’ three-star players, Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic, and Klay Thompson scored a combined 57 points.
After the game, Luka Doncic spoke candidly about adjusting to a new team member. Doncic accepted the fact that it is not easy to adapt to someone right off the bat. Furthermore, he compared the arrival of Thompson to the arrival of Irving.
While suggesting that it is only going to get easier with time, Doncic said:
“I think we’re still trying to figure it out. It’s not easy to connect with a guy right away. Me and Ky, we needed some time to connect. Now we have all three on the squad. Obviously, we’re gonna need some more time, but it’s getting easier and easier.”
