Bayern Munich Reach Agreement with Luis Díaz Amid Barcelona Pursuit, But Liverpool Remain Reluctant Sellers

Bayern Munich have reportedly reached a personal agreement with Liverpool winger Luis Díaz, according to German outlet Bild, as the Colombian international continues to attract interest from Europe’s elite clubs. Barcelona, too, remain firmly in the race for the 28-year-old, despite Liverpool rejecting bids from both clubs in recent weeks.

Luis Díaz, who scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions last season, is regarded as a key asset at Anfield. However, his future has become the subject of mounting speculation, with the player himself acknowledging that discussions with the club’s hierarchy are ongoing. While Díaz insists he is “comfortable” at Liverpool, his openness to a move has kept both Bayern and Barcelona hopeful.

Barcelona Determined to Try Again for Luis Diaz, Bayern Advance with Agreement

Barcelona have made Luis Díaz their top attacking target this summer, and although their initial approach in June was turned down, they are preparing to return with an improved offer. The La Liga champions are reportedly confident that Díaz would welcome a move to Camp Nou, but convincing Liverpool remains a major hurdle. The Premier League side are not interested in a sale unless a substantial offer—well above the previous bids—is tabled.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, appear to have made progress on the personal front, having reportedly agreed terms with the player. However, like Barcelona, they have also seen an initial proposal rejected by Liverpool. With Thomas Tuchel no longer in charge, Bayern’s new project under Vincent Kompany is keen on bringing in a top-tier winger, and Díaz has emerged as a priority.

Liverpool Maintain Firm Stance on Luis Diaz as Pre-Season Looms

With pre-season training set to begin on July 8, Liverpool are eager to settle the squad and eliminate uncertainty. While interest in Díaz grows, the club’s stance remains unchanged: the Colombian is not for sale unless an exceptional bid arrives.

Barcelona’s interest may be complicated further by their pursuit of Marcus Rashford, who is also reportedly open to a move abroad. As it stands, Díaz’s future remains unresolved, but both Bayern and Barça are expected to push again in the coming days.
