Liverpool fans will take a sigh of relief as the club has announced the player is not for sale in the latest reports. Bayer Munich who made an offer for the Colombian is being rejected as the Reds stay firm on their stance of keeping the left winger.

Bayern president Max Eberl received the message with the details on Thursday. Liverpool after rejecting FC Barcelona in June has closed all the discussion by denying any offers from Bayern Munich.

What’s Next for Luis Diaz After Bayern Munich’s Rejected Offer?

Recent reports suggest that Luis Diaz’s future at Liverpool is uncertain. With hints of both staying and openness to a potential move if certain conditions are not fulfilled is also a possibility.

While Diaz has expressed happiness at Anfield, his comments in June 2025 and reported frustrations over stalled contract talks suggest he is open to exploring options if Liverpool fail to meet his expectations for a new deal in his interview in June:

“I’m very, very happy in Liverpool. From day one, they’ve made me feel welcome. Right now we’re in contact with them because we’re speaking with [other] clubs.

“It’s normal, the market is open, and we’re trying to sort out what’s best for us. I am just waiting to see what happens. If Liverpool doesn’t make a good offer, I still have two years left with them, and I would be happy and content to stay there.

Despite the mixed feelings, the most recent comments from Diaz have been affirmative about his future at Anfield. Reflecting on what he makes of the English League and his future, Diaz in May 2025 told the Athletic,

“We will be talking, the talk about it (my future) will happen. For me, I’d stay for as long as possible. It also depends on the club, it all depends on the details. They’re all details that are sorted out separately. But I am very calm, very happy and I am enjoying the Premier League.”

With the reports suggesting his stay and these comments, the fans at Anfield will not see a change to their left wing. Diaz had a sublime season with the Reds’ having 18 G/A in the Premier League 2024/25.

Diaz who expects a reward in his contract renewal will have some nervous months to go through. Currently on a break, Liverpool will play their first preseason game in 11 days against Preston North End.
