Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks Game Preview – April 5, 2025

Eric Divakaran

The Dallas Mavericks are set to take on the Los Angeles Clippers on April 5, 2025. The L.A Clippers are playing on a second night of a back-to-back and the question to be asked is, can the Clippers keep their 3-streak alive? Let’s find out.

Los Angeles Clippers’ Outlook

Ever since the Los Angeles Clippers got Kawhi Leonard back from his injury, the Clips have been winning and are looking like a playoff contender. With the Klaw, the Clippers are 22-11 this season, and while many still question Leonard’s availability come postseason, we feel like this may actually be the year that Kawhi will remain healthy during the playoffs. Norman Powell should have made the All-Star team this season with the way he is performing, averaging 22.2 points on 48.8 percent shooting from the field. Even James Harden, who many believed was washed as a player, is averaging 22.4 points and has been leading the pack with his playmaking averaging 8.5 assists per game.

The Clippers have remained relevant in the Western Conference with head coach Ty Lue bringing the best out of each player available in his roster and they are currently sitting at the 7th spot in the West.

Dallas Mavericks’ Outlook

The Mavericks has had quite a rollercoaster of a season as they traded away their franchise player in Luka Doncic, and acquired Anthony Davis and Max Christie from the Lakers. Injuries have also hindered the Mavericks as Kyrie Irving tore his ACL last month. However, now that they have Davis, Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively II back in their lineup, the Maverick have crept back up to the 9th spot in the West. The Mavericks are 5-1 when AD is on the court, and they are hoping to make the playoffs.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
