Following the FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 encounter in Atlanta, Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele shared a heartwarming moment. The former Barcelona teammates reunited on the pitch for the first time since Messi’s departure from PSG. Notably, Dembele came off the bench for PSG in his first appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup.

On a positive night for PSG, Ousmane Dembele made his long-awaited return from a thigh injury. The attacker came on as a second-half substitute against Inter Miami. The forward, who has already notched an impressive 33 goals this season, had missed all of PSG’s group stage fixtures as he recovered from the setback. After playing against Inter Miami, Dembele later said that he feels fully fit and ready to help the French champions push for the FIFA Club World Cup title.
Notably, Dembele played alongside Messi at Barcelona for four years and the duo won two La Liga titles together. Dembele also managed to get the shirts of his former Barcelona teammnates Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez after the match.
