Following the Lakers' victory, LeBron James delivered a message that has fans buzzing.
LeBron James and the Lakers pushed their record to 2-0 on Friday, claiming an impressive win over the Phoenix Suns at the Crypto.com Arena. Kevin Durant and his squad put up a strong fight, but LA ultimately came out on top, defeating one of this season’s top title contenders with a 123-116 victory.

LeBron James made a significant impact, scoring 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting while also contributing four rebounds, eight assists, and two three-pointers in 35 minutes.
The Lakers will take the court again on Saturday, facing the Sacramento Kings on the second night of a back-to-back.
Despite concerns about LeBron James’ availability for back-to-back games at age 39, he’s not backing down from playing early in the season. In fact, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has set his sights on completing a full 82-game season.
“LeBron James said he will play tomorrow vs. Sacramento and plans on playing all 82 games this season barring injury,” reported Lakers beat writer Jovan Buha from The Athletic.
For context, LeBron has only played a full 82-game season once in his career, back in the 2017-18 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over his six years with the Lakers, LeBron James averaged 58.2 games per season, including the two pandemic-shortened seasons (2019-20 and 2020-21).

LeBron has faced his share of injuries in recent years, which have sidelined him for multiple games. Still, his mindset for this season is clear. James will play every game in his 22nd year. His heart is in the right place.
Of course, whether his body will agree with this ambition remains to be seen.
