LeBron James injury update: LeBron returns to L.A for treatment

The Lakers superstar, LeBron James returned back to Los Angeles.

The Lakers superstar, LeBron James returned back to Los Angeles as per medical recommendation. The player is recovering well from a left groin injury as per Shams Charania.

LeBron James is averaging 25.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game. He has been consistent throughout out the season and only missed four games prior to the injury in Year 22. The Lakers would want the star to recover 100% before the playoffs and will not rush the star to play earlier than expected.

Lakers will struggle without LeBron James, making it more evident after their loss to Brooklyn Nets. The forward will not be on the bench for the road games against Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets and will focus on recovery for the later part of the season.

In a crucial playoffs seed battle, the Lakers have been swamped by injuries. Jaxson Hayes and Rui Hachimura alongside LeBron will miss the next few games. The team will rely heavily on Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves to carry the baton for the next few weeks. With Gabe Vincent back in his Heat form, the Lakers receive one positive news amidst the injuries.
