As LeBron James eyes a fifth ring, four NBA teams have reached out to his agent
The LeBron James trade saga continues to simmer, with reports suggesting the 40-year-old is growing frustrated with the Lakers’ management. An NBA reporter has suggested that four sides have reached out to Rich Paul, who is James’ agent.
Dave McMenamin revealed that four teams have shown serious interest in acquiring the Lakers’ legend this offseason. However, he didn’t mention which exact teams. The Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks have been repeatedly linked.
Dave McMenamin said, “[Rich] Paul has also made it clear to me that LeBron has not asked for a trade, and Paul hasn’t even discussed the possibility of wanting a trade in the future with the Lakers. Four teams contacted him with interest in trading for LeBron.”

Earlier reports stated that LeBron James is determined to win a fifth championship before calling time on his illustrious career. His agent has openly said that the 40-year-old still expects to be in title contention heading into the new season.
The Los Angeles Lakers were given the ultimatum to improve the roster. Since then, the Lakers have made only minimal upgrades, signing DeAndre Ayton and Jake LaRavia to bolster the roster.
Cleveland Cavaliers: The most likely destination for LeBron James remains Cleveland. The power forward is interested to join the Eastern Conference side given their championship credentials. The Cavs have also expressed interest, but a move will only happen in case of a buyout.
Golden State Warriors: Though, the Warriors lack the cap space to accommodate LeBron James. But they still remain in the race because the management there is open to blow up their depth to bring James to play with Steph Curry. In such a case, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green could be shown the door.
Dallas Mavericks: The turnaround that the Mavericks have done post Luka Doncic is extraordinary. All the chips have started to fall for them, and a LeBron James trade would be the cherry on the top. Though, they will have to give up plenty, including Klay Thompson and multiple draft picks.
